We strengthened the engine hut and successfully ran the Lowther Hill ski tow engine for the first time.

Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd December. We roofed, waterproofed, and reinforced the engine hut. On Saturday 27th December Tom Moffat prepared the base for the temporary clubhouse at Whiteside..
Sunday 28th December. Amelia Shoemark and Tim Mullens re-turfed the clubhouse site...
...while and Alastair Shiels and Allan Guild connected and prepared the ski tow engine for the first test.
Monday 29th December. Ed Forrest and Anjo Abelaira continued strengthening the engine hut. On Tuesday 30th December Tom Moffat, Ross Dolder and Anjo Abelaira finished anchoring the ski tow's return wheel.
Wednesday 31st December. Allan Guild tested and successfully ran the Lowther Hill ski tow engine for the first time.
The Lowther Hills Ski Club is run entirely by volunteers. The Club holds work parties to maintain our equipment and run the ski tows. If you would be willing to give us a hand at any work meets please get in touch.
