We strive to run the tows for our members at least 20 days between December-March, but this season our core group of volunteers is not regularly available. We are looking to employ a keen snowsports enthusiast who can make him/herself available at short notice to run a tow for our friendly membership.

It was only two years ago, in summer 2014, that Lowther Hills Ski Club started to build new facilities on Lowther Hill, on the same slope where the South of Scotland Ski Club and many other pioneers had previously skied since the 1950s.
Lowther Hills Ski Club members are invited to attend the club's AGM on Sunday 20th November 2016 at 1pm at the Hopetoun Arms Hotel in Leadhills.

Snowfencing is one of the most challenging projects we have been juggling with since we brought skiing back to Lowther Hill. But thanks to some ingenuity and a great local support from our community we have managed to put ourselves ahead of schedule.

He needs to raise £12,000 to go out abroad to train and compete against other top riders in Europe. Here's how we can all support him...

Webcam update - Have you noticed that our cameras have been down for a while? If you were wondering why, it’s because beginning late May, getting mobile data on the hill became all but impossible, and as you may know, these are the highest and remotest ‘off-the-grid’ webcams anywhere in the UK.
