The Lowther Hill tow opened for members during the past week. The rain is now back and washing the snow off the hill, but we had some good fun and are looking forward to the next snowfall.

Tuesday 14th was the last day we opened before the drizzly weather arrived. It was thin, unpisted, but crusty and with enough cover for a good slide at the upper half of the slopes, turning grassy towards the lower half.

The tow's upline and the narrow Throw Rig slope had a decent cover thanks to the recently built snow fence.

And here is a different view of the slopes, seen from the other side of the Shortcleuch gully. Right-click on the picture for a larger view.
